-For those of you who aren't techs, IATSE local 1 is on strike as well. So, for those of you who live in New York, or are traveling to New York, no Broadway shows, please. Oh, and why IATSE is awesome: strike suspended. And one more reason to really support this strike.
-One more reason that I love Tom Morello (of Rage Against the Machine). Although his fantastic band no longer exists, he has carried on the tradition RATM started. (you know, protesting the democratic national convention, making super political music, generally being very politically active) He played at the WGA picket line in Fox Plaza. Also, check out his myspace here. And, he generally rocks.
-A link to a blog post: 10 Things I Can Do To Support the WGA; they are anticipating the strike lasting a minimum of 60 days. Yes, this probably means that your favorite tv show (also, mine) will run our of episodes before it's over. Sigh.
