That I love my job(s)? Today, I worked an 8 hour elex call at ODC. It was good times. No one brought music, and all the lighting designer had in his car was old REM and Christmas music (note:first christmas music I have listened to this season, not counting bad carols in a restaurant by The Magic). And, I went to rehearsal for LEVYdance. They ran 3 of the 4 pieces currently in the rep. They have made some fantastic changes to the main piece that we are touring. It's looking really great. Also, the music for the big piece was recorded for the company by Kronos. So, it's pretty good. And then I had a quick meeting with Ben about some rigging hardware we have to buy, and reminding him that we (he and I) need to make a final decision about what pieces we are touring, and show order. I am really enjoying this insane world of freelance theater. Well, I guess I only did dance today. Anyway. Things are good. I'm crazy busy this week trying to wrap up things at the Mime Troupe (plus the holiday party on Friday), and finishing everything for the tour. And soon, soon I will be home. In one week!!! Hooray!
p.s. Ed says halal meat is vegetarian fed. This makes me very happy. Also, being a vegetarian makes instant other vegetarian friends, and a good topic of conversation (picture me on a ladder rolling around ODC circuiting talking about being a vegetarian with the other elec working today).
