ARGH!!!!!

So, the Mad River Festival opens tomorrow evening with the Prize of Hope. The POH, as it's affectionately and jokingly called around here, is an award started by the Danish Institute of Popular Theater, which Dell Arte won (the first American recipient) a few years ago. This year, we are presenting it. To Tim Robbins and the Actor's Gang. We're having a dinner, a video screening/talk with the Actor's Gang, the presentation of the award itself, and then a local band playing. We have 4 different venues: the street outside Dell Arte (closed), the ballet studio across the street, the Carlo (our indoor theater), and the amphitheater (aka, our backyard, but with a stage....and lights...and a sound system). Oh, and the Mad River Grange, where catering is set up and such. Here's the thing, this event has been planned for months. Dinner in the street, video screening/talk with the Actor's Gang in the Carlo, awarding the prize and the band in the amphitheater. Then, on Tuesday, everything went to crap. They started second guessing themselves, and not consulting me about this, or the production manager. So, the venues have changed probably about 3 times a day (at least) for the last few days. Now, the event is tomorrow. I have a VERY limited amount of lights and dimmers (40 or so). Half of which have been put in the amphitheater, half in the Carlo. And, Michael's (the artistic director) last words of wisdom are: we just need to be prepared for everything, in case of weather. Excellent. ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I don't have enough time, or equipment to be ready for everything.

Alright. It's going to be fine. I just needed to yell a little bit. I have to go work now.
