an update with lots of lists

The reason that Blue Lake no longer has a police force, and also why the lack thereof is a daily joke: the ex-police chief.

In other news, I am a flurry of care package sending. If you desire a care package of odd things that I think are funny, which may or may not be actually funny, let me know. If you would like to reciprocate, here is a list of things I love/want/would make me joyful:
-post-its in a variety of colors/sizes
-recipes (specifically tasty vegetarian food and especially new things to bake)
-pictures/postcards to put up in my little room
-yarn for knitting
-books

This week has brought:
-my assistant technical director (he's fantastic)
-a trip to Eureka in the red van. a death defying act. the van may be older than i am.
-almost getting decapitated in said van by picking up Ferney's gurney rolling around in the back.
-sword fighting. this week in my collection of bruises I add: a welt on my arm in which you can see the bamboo strips of the sword. a giant and swollen bruise on the back of my left thigh. and the pain in my left hand, the impact of the hit made my entire hand go numb.
-badminton. with a myriad of new rules including spinning after you hit the birdie, releasing your racket after you hit the birdie (this ended with a racket going over the fence into the creek...so predictable), and more of the like.
-first big pieces of the Korbel set nearing completion
-rain!
and some other things.

things upcoming this week:
-long trek to South Carolina via Portland for Chris Marley's wedding
-cleaning out the scene shop
-filling up sand bags
-watching a rehearsal of the M2's tragedy project: Between Two Winters (coming to the Magic in SF July 13-15, go see it)
yeah...that's pretty much it. excited to see Marcus, Chris and all that group of people. and a state that I've never been to before.
